イングランドへの略奪の航海の仲間を集めるため説得するRagnarとRollo。Earlの命令に逆らえば死刑だけど結構みんな同意して行く事に。

でもこの会合のことはしっかりスパイされてて
Earlに報告しに行くスパイ。しかしEarlはそのスパイさえも騙して始末する。

Ragnarのウチでは、航海に連れてけと言うLagerthaに子供達の面倒を見るため残れと言うRagnar。
I need to leave the children and the farm in hands of someone I trust.

What if the Earl finds out we have gone without his permission?

西に略奪先が絶対あると信じつつも、「もしも」をちゃんと考えているRagnar

Ragnar: Then who would take care of the children…（しばらく間を置いてから）
Rollo?
Lagertha: You have no right to say that!
「そんなこと言えたもんじゃないでしょ！（言う権利ないでしょ）」
日本語字幕は「ふざけないで」だったけど、Rolloになんかに任せられないってか？
だいたいRolloも一緒に航海行くし。

言う事聞かないなら、じゃあ俺が残って子供の面倒を見ると言い出すけど、
結局取っ組み合いの超激しい夫婦喧嘩でBjornが仲裁。

二人とも死んじゃうところだったよ

航海の準備を着々と進めるRagnarたち
直前になって姿を現さなかったヤツがいて早くも裏切り者が出たみたい
ついに出航
裏切り者がEarlにチクリに行くけど
二度と帰って来ないだろって気にしてない感じのEarl
They’ll never be heard from again
でももしRagnarが正しかったらどうするんですか？と言われて、西に国なんかない！と突っぱねるものの、不安になってるEarl。
What if Ragnar is right?
There are no lands to the west!

一方、イングランドの修道院では
審判の日が近づいてると不安になっている
We can see the signs.
You know as well as we that judgment day is at hand.
海から獣がやって来ると
And saw a beast rise up out of the sea

嵐に見舞われてるRagnar一行
激しい嵐に神が怒ってるのかと不安になってるFlokiが
イヤ、神が祝福してるんだと急にハイになる
I am afraid for my boat. Thor is beating his hammer.
Why should he angry with us? Why should he want to sink out boat?
Don’t you understand? He is celebrating.

Earlは鍛冶屋がRagnarに碇を作ったことを白状させて、Ragnarが命令に背いて航海に出た証拠を掴む。

嵐は過ぎ去ったものの海をさまようRagnarたち
Ragnarを責めて文句を言い始めるヤツが出て来る
There is no west! Utterly and completely lost.
We have been persuaded by madman and fools.

でも、サクッと始末

それでも本当に陸地があるのか心配になってくるけど丘に近づき喜ぶ彼ら。
It works! We made it!

イングランドでは船に気づいた修道士たちがパニック

Ragnarたちは修道院を襲撃
祭壇の後ろに隠れていた修道士のアセルスタンAthelstanを発見。
彼を殺そうとするRolloを抑えて、Athelstanを連れ帰るRagnar
生かしておいた方が価値があるって（でも売らないでずっと手元に置いておくんだよね）
Rollo: Why have you not killed this one?
Ragnar: He is worth more alive…to sell as a slave.
Rollo: I would kill him
Ragnar: I forbid it.

だいたい修道院なんかじゃお宝もないと思うんだけどね
清貧をモットーとしてる場所じゃないのか
変な場所だ、女もいないし、変な奴らしかいないってRollo談
そうだよね
